Harris Wittels is dead of a heroin overdose at the age of 30, and that’s really depressing. Especially since the very busy comic had just done a show this Wednesday in Los Angeles that included some talk about how he was staying clean and recovered. It’ll take comedy a while to recover from losing Harris Wittels–who seems to mostly be getting cited as a producer of Parks and Recreation.
Which he was, but Harris also wrote at least one great episode of Eastbound and Down, and was a big part of the Analyze Phish podcast, and launched the whole “Humblebrag” movement, where he called out folks trying to look modest on Twitter while talking about their fabulous lives. There was a book, but we guess Humblebrag is now mostly immortalized via the original Twitter account. dfsdfsdf
