After news broke yesterday that Afroman pummeled a female fan during a show in Mississippi, fans were stunned when watching the incident unfold on camera. Now only a few hours later, the “Because I Got High” singer is apologizing for his actions and vows to seek anger management help.
The rapper – whose real name is Joseph Foreman – told TMZ that he confused the fan for a male heckler who had been berating him throughout the show. He explains, “I thought the girls had already left the stage, and after hearing this guy for a few songs, I thought it was him.” The legitimacy of his words remain questionable.
He also expressed high anxiety due to lack of medication and agitation prior to the show because it was so far away.
Rough, man. Reaaalllyyyy rough, totally validates a few hardcore punches. Long works are hard.
