A lot of places have some sort of polar bear plunge the weekend of the Super Bowl, but none can compare to the Polar Bear of SIU. Now in its 14th year, Polar Bear has become one of Southern Illinois University’s craziest weekend in part because of the work of @SIDrunks.
While no one actually jumps into a cold ocean, students instead wake up early in the morning to booze and either take part in massive block parties or head to the bars which open at 10 AM.
