Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon can’t seem to keep himself out of hot water. It was reported on Sunday that Gordon failed another drug test and now will be subject to a one-year suspension from the NFL. It has become very clear that Gordon can’t stay away from the drugs and the Browns have to think about letting the young, talented wide receiver go because they can’t trust him no more. He had to enter the NFL in the first place after being dismissed from Baylor because of a failed marijuana test. He had been suspended for the first two games of the 2013 season as well for violating the substance-abuse policy.
The Browns have enough turmoil already around them with Johnny Manziel and trying to figure out if it is worth having him as the team’s starting quarterback in 2015. If Gordon gets the full year suspension that everyone’s saying he will, Cleveland may as well just move on and cut their losses. There will be another team that takes on Gordon and if that happens, that team needs to hope that Gordon will change his life for the better.
