Here’s a weird holiday treat from Hollywood–an 11-hour long video to promote Exodus: Gods and Kings, with a single shot of the movie’s burning bush as the entire book of Exodus scrolls along the screen. It’s pretty cool. Also, don’t forget that Hanukkah is still rocking along right up to the night of December 24th. You could start reading the Biblical triumph of the Jews right now, and still have time for last-minute holiday shopping.
We’ve watched it very carefully, and can confirm that the bush keeps burning for 11 whole hours. That might be even longer than it burns in the Bible. We’re not sure. As we recall, Moses kind of just finds the bush already burning when it starts speaking as the voice of God. We bet that it could’ve easily burned for as long as in a Youtube video, though.
Anyway, check it out. SPOILER: The video has to end at 11 hours and 30 seconds, and some of the type still gets cut out before the story is finished. Have a Bible ready so you can read the whole thing. Man, it’s frustrating when you watch 11 hours of a video on Youtube and it cuts out like that…
