In 2008 nine paintings were stolen from a wealthy real-estate investor’s home in Los Angeles, and according to our friends over at Newser the country’s only full-time art cop has tracked down the thief. Detective Donald Hrycyk got a tip this fall about a man in Europe called “Darko” who was trying to sell the stolen masterpieces, and Hrycyk executed an undercover operation to trace the man down.
