Carrie Underwood is one of the most successful female country singers of all-time. Underwood rose to stardom after winning season 4 of the popular reality singing competition American Idol in 2005. She would go on to have the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her debut single, “Inside Your Heaven”, making her the only country artist to debut at No. 1 on the chart. She was also the only country artist in the 2000s to have a No. 1 song on the Hot 100.
Since bursting onto the scene, Underwood has won seven Grammy Awards, 11 Billboard Music Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 13 American Music Awards, nine Country Music Association Awards, seven Teen Choice Awards, five CMT Artists of the Year awards, and 20 CMT Music Awards.
Underwood has also landed a number of acting roles, including playing Maria von Trapp in NBC’s The Sound of Music Live. She is also involved in philanthropy and released her own fitness clothing line.
The country star is married to NHL player Mike Fisher and the couple has two children together.
