The new Kanye West album is finally here. After straying from rap music and turning to gospel, Kanye finally dropped his album Jesus is King after plenty of releases. Kanye was scheduled to drop his album at midnight — after a September release date — but he delayed the project to continue working.
The album comes not long after Kanye admitted to a porn addiction in the past.
“Playboy was my gateway into full-blown pornography addiction. My dad had a Playboy left out at age 5, and it’s affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life,” West said. “From age 5, to now having to kick the habit. And it just presents itself in the open, like it’s OK. And I stand up and say, you know, it’s not OK.”
He has since become committed to his wife and retired from rap to focus on gospel.

Back in April of this year, Kanye had teased a new song titled “Water” at one of his Sunday Services. Kanye performed the track which starts with Ye going back and forth with Ant Clemons. Interestingly enough, “Water” appeared on the tracklist that was tweeted out by Kim Kardashian. The biblical theme of the album title and tracklist indicates the project was inspired when Kanye was performing his Sunday Services throughout the past few months. At his services, Kanye has been releasing new tracks — as previously stated with “Water” — so the album could give those who have only seen services online the chance to have new Ye in one place.
