It’s Wednesday, September 11, so the time has come once again to take a look around the college world and appreciate some of the standout students and rising social media influencers at various colleges in the country for the COED Girl of the Day which features a college student that stands out among their peers. Today, we feature Kristy Beiles, a student at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Kristy, who is from the Bay Area, has put together a strong social media audience with more than 28,600 followers on Instagram.
UC Santa Barbara is one of 10 campuses of the University of California system and dates back to 1891 when it was known as the Anna Blake School. UCSB joined the University of California system in 1944 which makes it the third-oldest campus in the system.
UC Santa Barbara is often referred to as on of America’s Public Ivy universities and includes staff with six Nobel Prize laureates, one Fields Medalist, 39 members of the National Academy of Sciences, 27 members of the National Academy of Engineering, and 34 members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
