The 2019-20 UEFA Champions League draw took place on Thursday, August 29 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. The 26 teams in the Champions League were split into four seeding pots. Pot 1 consisted of the UEFA Europa League winners and champions of the six highest-ranked nations.
Participating clubs were Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Valencia, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur,Juventus, Napoli, Internazionale Milano, Atalanta, Bayern München, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, Paris, Lyon, LOSC Lille, Zenit, Lokomotiv Moskva, Benfica, Shakhtar Donetsk, Club Brugge, Galatasaray, Salzburg, Olympiacos, Slavia Praha, Ajax, GNK Dinamo, and Crvena zvezda.
Liverpool took home the 2019 UEFA Champions League Final, while Tottenham Hotspur were the runners-up.
The Group Stage of the tournament will officially kickoff on September 17 with the final being held at Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadı in Istanbul, Turkey on Saturday, May 30.
