The 2019 MTV VMAs take place on Monday, August 26 with a star-studded lineup at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The awards ceremony — hosted by comedian Sebastian Maniscalco — is the 36th edition of the annual Video Music Awards.
The most nominated artists are pop stars Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, who received 10 nominations apiece.
Missy Elliott will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
The MTV Video Music Awards will air on MTV, MTV2, VH1, MTV Classic, BET, Nick at Nite, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo TV, Paramount Network, TV Land, MTV Live, and BET Her.
Among the performers are Swift, Camila Cabello and her former Fifth Harmony partner Normani, Lil Nas X, Bad Bunny, Fetty Wap, J Balvin, and the Jonas Brothers. The preshow will feature performances from Ava Max, CNCO, and Megan Thee Stallion.
Among the presenters will be World Cup champion Alex Morgan, rapper Megan Thee Stallion, Bebe Rexha, Hailee Steinfeld, John Travolta, Victor Cruz, and Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness.
The show will officially kickoff at 8:00 p.m. ET.
