A gunman reportedly open-fired near the Clark Atlanta University campus leaving four students injured late Tuesday night, according to reports from local news outlets. The victims were all women outside of the Robert W. Woodruff Library which is used by students from multiple Atlanta universities — Morehouse, Spelman and Clark Atlanta — with their ages ranging from 17 to 19.

The shooting took place at a block party the day before classes began.

“Initial investigation seems to indicate an argument broke out between two parties prior to the shooting,” Atlanta police public affairs director Carlos Campos said in a statement, via the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “It appears the women were not the intended targets of the shooting.”

Video from the shooting surfaced on social media and showed a crowd of people running from the gunfire.

All four of the students are in stable condition, but the gunman has not yet been located. They were not believed to be targets in the incident.

“It appears there were two separate groups that were targeting each other and the students in the crossfire,” said Atlanta Police Capt. William Rucker in a statement.

One of the victims has been identified as Elyse Spencer, and she took to social media to provide an update on her status.

Thank you for y’all prayers. Can’t really reply to people. But I’m here, I’m alive. God got me. Y’all got me.
