Pettis’s jiu-jitsu coach Daniel Wanderley confirmed the broken foot to MMAFighting.com. A timetable for Pettis return has not been confirmed. Pettis head coach Duke Roufus told Ariel Helwani of ESPN that the former lightweight champion suffered his broken foot in the first round of the fight.

“Anthony Pettis broke his right foot in the first round of his loss to Nate Diaz last night, according his coach Duke Roufus. It might require surgery,” Helwani wrote on Twitter. “They’ll know for sure when he goes back home to MKE. Pettis posted this photo of his foot afterwards.”
