The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to pay-per-view on Saturday, August 17 with UFC 241 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The event features a championship bout, the return of a fan-favorite, and a key matchup in the middleweight division.
In the main event, heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier defends his title against former champion Stipe Miocic, who will be looking to bounce back from his first-round knockout loss to Cormier at UFC 226 which cost him his title. The co-main event, meanwhile, features longtime rivals as fan-favorite Nate Diaz returns to action after a nearly three-year layoff to take on former lightweight titleholder Anthony Pettis in a welterweight bout.
The featured matchup is at middleweight between top contenders Yoel Romero and Paulo “Borrachinha” Costa with the winner staking their claim for the next title shot at 185-pounds.
Before the bouts could be official, however, all fighters had to step onto the scale for the official fighter weigh-ins on Friday afternoon at the host hotel.
