It’s Friday, August 16, so the time has come once again to take a look around the college world and appreciate some of the standout students and rising social media influencers at various colleges in the country for the COED Girl of the Day which features a college student or social media personality who stands out among their peers. Today, we feature Kayla Simmons, a Marshall University alum.
Kayla was a member of the Marshall University volleyball team.
Marshall University — which is located in Huntington, West Virginia — was founded in 1837 by John Marshall, who was the fourth Chief Justice of the United States. The university is home to approximately 10,200 undergraduates and 3,400 graduate students.
The university is made up of nine undergraduate colleges: Lewis College of Business (LCOB), College of Education and Professional Development (COE), College of Arts and Media (COAM), College of Health Professions (COHP), Honors College, College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE), College of Liberal Arts (COLA), College of Science (COS), and University College; three graduate colleges, the general Graduate College, the School of Pharmacy, and the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine; and a regional center for cancer research.
Kayla has put together a strong audience on social media with more than 191,000 followers on Instagram.
