Tracy Cortez is one of the top prospects in women’s mixed martial arts at 125 pounds. The flyweight contender competes in a division that the Ultimate Fighting Championship continues to build, so she found herself on UFC president Dana White’s radar. That led to a spot on the Dana White Contender Series where she has the opportunity to earn a UFC contract.
The 25-year-old from Phoenix Arizona began her pro career suffering a defeat at Invicta FC 25 but has hauled off four straight wins since in promotions like World Fighting Federation, Invicta, V3 Fights, and Combate Americas. Two of her four professional wins have come by way of stoppage. In her final fight before receiving the call from Dana White’s Contender Series, Cortez earned a split decision win over Erin Blanchfield at Invicta FC 34.
As an amateur, Cortez held a record of 3-0.
Tracy is represented by Sucker Punch Entertainment and is of Mexican-American descent. She enjoys documenting the lead-up to her fights on her YouTube channel.
