It’s the Fourth of July 2019, so fire up your grills, get ready to enjoy a nice cookout, and prepare to end your day with some epic fireworks. Independence Day is a federal holiday celebrating the Declaration of Independence after the Continental Congress declared that the original 13 American colonies were no longer under the direction of the monarch of Britain and instead were free and independent states.

With the Fourth of July being a being a federal holiday, it means a change in operating hours for a number of businesses and services that the public typically enjoys.

You may be asking yourself: can I run to the bank to make some last-minute transactions before going about the day?

A list of banks that are open and closed during the holiday can be seen below.

What Banks Are Open On Fourth of July 2019?

Because the Fourth of July is a federal holiday, most banks in the country — including the Federal Reserve Banks, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and others — will be closed. However, TD Bank will remain open.

If you use a smaller, private bank or exclusively use an online bank or believe for whatever reason that your local branch will not be closed for Columbus Day, it’s recommended that you check in with your bank a few days prior to get confirmation.

Federal officials, mail services, courts, and many schools will also be closed.
