Thomas Few, a 20-year-old student at Clemson University in South Carolina, has been identified as the person who died early Sunday. June 30 after falling from a roof. Police received calls at around 12:45 a.m. and found the body of a young man laying on the ground, according to FOX Carolina.
Authorities transferred Few to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
While there are very few details available regarding the moments leading up to Few’s tragic fall, police are investigating the incident and believe that alcohol may have played a factor in his death.

Police responded to the scene of the fall, at 176 Old Greenville Highway, Clemson, and found Few on the ground, Dixon said. Few was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Dixon said. Police do not suspect any foul play, Dixon said. However, the death is under investigation due to the victim’s age and the possibility that alcohol may have been a contributing factor, Dixon said.
Few was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity at Clemson and was studying construction science and management.
“Kappa Alpha Order and our members at Clemson mourn the tragic loss of a member due to an overnight accident,” Jesse Lyons, assistant executive director for advancement and editor of The Kappa Alpha Journal, said in a statement, via the Greenville Journal. “All are grieving for his family and friends.”
Clemson strategic Vice President for communications Joe Galbrath also acknowledged that the university was aware of the incident but they would not comment further until more information was made available.
An autopsy is reportedly scheduled for Monday, July 1.
