Gal Gadot, born Gal Gadot Varsano in Petah Tikva, Israel, on April 30, 1985, is an Israeli actress and model who is best known for portraying Diana Prince / Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Universe.
Born and raised in Israel, Gadot studied biology in high school before serving her two mandatory years of service in the Israel Defense Forces. In the year 2004, Gadot was named Miss Israel and eventually competed in the Miss Universe competition the following year.
After her Miss Israel success, Gadot began a career as a professional model, modeling for the likes of Maxim, Cosmopolitan, Entertainment Weekly, UMM, Cleo, Fashion, Lucire, FHM, Glamour, InStyle Magazine, and Bride Magazine.
In the year 2007, Gadot made her professional acting debut when she appeared on the Israeli television series Bubot.
Two years later, Gadot first broke through to international audiences in the year 2009 when she appeared as Gisele Yashar in Fast & Furious.
Since debuting in American cinemas in Fast & Furious, Gadot has gone on to become one of the most recognizable actresses in the world thanks to her portrayal of Wonder Woman.
In addition to starring as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, and Justice League, Gadot has appeared in various other films such as Date Night, Knight and Day, Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7, Criminal, Keeping Up with the Joneses, Triple 9, and Ralph Breaks the Internet.
In the year 2020, Gadot will star in three major motion pictures: Death on the Nile, Red Notice, and Wonder Woman 1984.
