Ever since Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox became official, comic books fans across the globe have already begun clamoring at the idea of iconic Marvel Comics heroes such as Wolverine and Deadpool making their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS: ENDGAME WILL FOLLOW AFTER THE GIF (LITERALLY, RIGHT AFTER THE GIF).
While Disney’s purchase of Fox opened the door to literally hundreds of additional characters, the ones that immediately made their way to the forefront of fans’ minds were the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and of course, Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool.
Given the genre-shifting success that Deadpool has enjoyed thus far, it’s tough to imagine a company as intelligent as Disney making any massive changes to the franchise. After all, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
That said, Deadpool’s introduction into the MCU is merely a question of when — not if — at this point which has led fans to already begin concocting ways to properly introduce with Merc with a Mouth into the MCU.
And one of those ways, arguably the simplest of them all, has gone viral amongst the fanbase, racking up almost 200,000 likes and over 60,000 retweets.
The idea: introduce him as NoobMaster69, the Fortnite player who was talking smack to Korg, Thor’s rock buddy, in Avengers: Endgame.
While Marvel Studios will likely opt for something a little more cinematic, the basis behind the idea is that Deadpool — a character known for his meta, fourth-wall breaking ways — would be best served by giving him the most ironic of entrances possibly.
To that same extent, other fans have called for Deadpool to simply stroll into the frame during a battle and say something along the lines of “Yeah, I’m a Disney character now, b***h.”
While no timetable has been given for Deadpool’s introduction to the MCU, we have a feeling — given the insane amount of money to be made — that it will happen sooner than later.
