Vanessa Lachey — born Vanessa Joy Minnillo at a military base in the Philippines on November 9, 1980 — is an American-Philipino model, TV host and personality who is best known for her work on Entertainment Tonight and Total Request Live.
Lachey, who was named Miss Teen USA in the year 1998, lived in many places during his childhood due to her parent’s military career. During her childhood, Lachey attended eight different schools in nine years across various places across the globe such as Japan, Germany, Florida, Washington, California, and Nevada.
After winning the title of Miss South Carolina Teen USA, Lachey won the Miss Teen USA competition the following year.
Due to the fame she received from competing in beauty pageants such as Miss Teen USA, Lachey went on to host MTV’s iconic music video show Total Request Live from 2003 until 2007.
Additionally, in the year 2005, Lachey began working for Entertainment Tonight. She has also had gigs hosting the Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe beauty pageants.
Lachey has also made various magazine cover appearances for iconic publications such as Maxim, Shape, and Lucky. She also appeared in two features films during her career: Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Disaster Movie.
On July 15, 2011, Lachey married former 98 Degrees frontman Nick Lachey at Richard Branson’s private Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands. In the years since, the couple has had three children together.
