Douglas Lima advanced in the Bellator Welterweight Grand Prix and handed Michael “Venom” Page the first loss of his career in devastating fashion on Saturday, May 11 at Bellator 221 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Lima scored a brutal second-round knockout of Page thanks to a low kick and heavy right hand before referee Mike Beltran could step in to bring an end to the action.
Lima vs. Page served as the co-main event of Bellator 221, which was streamed on DAZN.
Lima will now advance to take on the winner of current champion Rory MacDonald vs. undefeated Neiman Gracie, which will take place later this summer at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
