All-women’s mixed martial arts promotion Invicta FC is returning on Friday, May 3 for ‘Invicta FC: Phoenix Rising Series 1,’ which brings a blast from the past to MMA fans. ‘Invicta FC: Phoenix Rising Series 1’ will be featuring a one-night, eight-woman tournament for the promotion’s strawweight championship.
The eight women competing in ‘Invicta FC: Phoenix Rising Series 1’ are Amber Brown, Brianna Van Buren, Danielle Taylor, Juliana Lima, Kailin Curran, Manjit Kolekar, Sharon Jacobson, and Sunna Davidsdottir. Alyssa Krahn and Itzel Esquivel will compete in the reserve bout.
The tournament’s first-round and semifinal bouts will each be one five-minute round. The tournament final will be three five-minute rounds.
The event will air live on UFC Fight Pass.
