Despite being engaged for some time (frankly, I thought they were already married), Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas just got married on Wednesday, May 1, in a shotgun Las Vegas wedding featuring candy rings and an Elvis impersonator.
The pair — who got engaged back in October 2017 — decides to finally say their vows following The 2019 Billboard Music Awards that were held in Las Vegas. The 50’s themed wedding reportedly only cost $600.
In addition to an Elvis impersonator officiating the wedding — which was held at the Little White Wedding Chapel — celebrities such as Diplo, who provided the video, and Priyanka Chopra — Turner’s now-sister-in-law — were in attendance.
Turner, still just 23-years-old, may be in the midst of the best month of her life right now, as the final season of the genre-altering, Emmy Award-winning series Game of Thrones is currently airing, she’s set to start in this month’s new X-Men film Dark Phoenix, and she just got married to a Jonas Brother.
Joe isn’t doing too bad these days either, as his iconic band The Jonas Brothers will be releasing their first album in a decade, “Happiness Begins”, on June 7.
Not a bad month for the young couple if you ask me.
In addition to being the unofficial videographer, Diplo also provided the entertainment for the post-wedding party by doing what he does best: playing the music.
Following the ceremony, Turner and Jonas went on to remind everyone why they’re America’s Favorite Power couple, as they posed with a Pink Cadillac before jumping into a hot tub still in their wedding garb.
However, we have a feeling that this won’t be the only time the two tie the knot, as they have long been public about their desire to get married in France.
Turner and Jonas, who first began dating back in 2016, will likely hold a fancier, flashier wedding ceremony this summer.
