The third episode of Game of Thrones officially came and went, leaving absolute devastation in its wake.
WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR SEASON 8, EPISODE 3 OF ‘GAME OF THRONES’ WILL FOLLOW AFTER THE GIFs.
In an episode that was billed as the longest and the bloodiest in the history of Game of Thrones, The Battle of Winterfell lived up to the hype and then some.
While the Dead massively overwhelmed our heroes for a majority of the episode, racking up a seemingly endless body count in the process, we all know it’s really only the main characters we care about.
But which of Westeros’ Mightiest Heroes bit the dust?
Who Died In The Battle of Winterfell?
Here are all of the main characters who died in Season 8, Episode 3 of Game of Thrones:
The Dothraki – killed as they stampede the army of the dead in the beginning of the battle.

Beric Dondarrion – dies protecting Arya and the Hound, allowing Arya to meet with the Red Woman and fulfill her destiny.
Jorah Mormont – dies protecting Danerys after she fell off her dragon.
Lyanna Mormont – killed after she’s crushed by a dead giant (she takes out the giant, though).
Theon Greyjoy – killed by the Night King.
The Night King – killed by Arya Stark, who got near him by using the face of a White Walker.
The Red Woman – takes off her magic necklace, allowing old age to kill her.
