How Much Money Is ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Going to Make?

Despite the fact that we’ve known that the fate of Avengers: Endgame is to become the highest grossing movie of all-time, the numbers that Endgame are set to put up are still staggering when written down on paper (or in this case, typed on the internet).

Made for an astounding $400 million, Avengers: Endgame is expected to earn more than $260 million during the first three days of its release … in North America alone.

According to Variety, Endgame is being shown in over 4,600 North American theaters, which makes it the widest release in movie history.

Not only is Endgame the widest released movie in history, but it’s also one of the most game-changing, as some AMC theaters are reportedly staying open for 72-straight-hours in order to facilitate the massive number of expected movie-goers.

If (when) Endgame does cross the $200 million opening weekend mark, it will be only the 7th movie in history to do so. Of the first six films to accomplish this feat, five of them are Disney owned properties: Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Marvel’s The Avengers, and Black Panther.

The only non-Disney property to cross the $200 million mark on its opening weekend was Universal’s Jurrasic World.

How Much Money Is Avengers: Endgame Going To Make?

So, with all that information — and knowing that the global box office for Avengers: Infinity War eventually clocked in at just over $2 billion, it’s well within reason to estimate that Avengers: Endgame finishes somewhere north of $2.5 billion.

Now, the ultimate question is whether or not Avengers: Endgame will be the first film in human history to cross the $3 billion mark, which would be a truly astronomical accomplishment for a movie.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ is the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the conclusion of the Marvel Studios saga that began with ‘Iron Man’ back in 2008.
