Maude Apatow, born on December 15, 1997, is an American actress who is the eldest daughter of acclaimed comedy director and producer Judd Apatow and actress Leslie Mann. She is set to star in HBO’s upcoming teen drama Euphoria alongside Zendaya.
Born in California to one of Hollywood’s most prolific producers, Maude Apatow made her acting debut in the 2007 comedy film Knocked Up, playing the daughter of her mother’s character.
Following her feature film debut in Knocked Up, Maude went on to appear in another one of her father’s films, the 2009 comedy-drama Funny People.
In the year 2019, Apatow got her first big break as she began starring in a main role on the HBO show Euphoria alongside Zendaya.
Prior to her starring role on the HBO teen drama series Euphoria, Apatow starred in three episodes of the HBO comedy Girls and made brief appearances in a variety of feature films such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin (in a deleted scene), Knocked Up, Funny People, This Is 40, Pitch Perfect 2, Other People, The House of Tomorrow, and Assassination Nation.
Maude’s parents — Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann — are one of the most recognizable Hollywood couples out there, as Mann met Apatow when she was auditioning for the 1996 Jim Carrey-starring black-comedy The Cable Guy.
Apatow is one of the most prolific comedy producers and directors in entertainment, as he has been a part of heralded projects (as a director, writer, or producer) such as The Cable Guy, Liar Liar, The Wedding Singer, Bruce Almighty, Anchorman, Kicking & Screaming, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Fun With Dick and Janes, Talladega Nights, Knocked Up, Superbad, Walk Hard, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Step Brothers, Pineapple Express, Year One, Funny People, Get Him to the Greek, Bridesmaids, This Is 40, Anchorman 2, Trainwreck, The Big Sick, and The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling.
