Update: It appears the “music” video is just a 7-minute long Pixar infomercial sing-a-long about the environment.
Not sure how this song can possibly be enjoyed without watching the video (to be fair, it can barely be listened to with the video), but fair play to LD for pulling a fast one on all of us.
Original article:
Lil Dicky just dropped the utterly epic music video for his latest single “Earth”.
Teased by Lil Dicky himself as being “one of the more monumental moments in human history”, the music video for “Earth” definitely features one of the most star-studded casts in the history of music, videos, and music videos.
In addition to the boy David Burd, the music video for “Earth” features Justin Bieber, Zac Brown, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Halsey, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Rita Ora, Katy Perry, Leonardo DiCaprio, Shawn Mendes, Lil Jon, Hailee Steinfeld, Kevin Hart, Charlie Puth, Adam Levine, Ed Sheeran, Sia, Meghan Trainor, Joel Embiid, Tory Lanez, John Legend, Lil Yachty, Miguel, PSY, Kris Wu, Benny Blanco, Bad Bunny, Brendon Urie, and the Backstreet Boys.
Globe-stopping videos have become the norm for Lil Dicky, as his last music video, “Freaky Friday” with Chris Brown, has almost half-a-billion views on YouTube at the time of this writing.
Lil Dicky — A.K.A. Mr. Leftward Sloping Penis — has come quite the long way since we first interviewed him way back in 2016.
Dicky, born David Andrew Burd on March 15, 1988, first got his start back in 2011 with his debut mixtape So Hard.
Since So Hard, Lil Dicky has truly become one of the most unique names in entertainment, as he has seemingly carved out his own distinct genre in the rap industry.
With hits such as “Lemme Freak”, “White Crime”, “Save Dat Money”, and “Professional Rapper” already going mega-viral, Lil Dicky has seemed to successfully blur the line between hip-hop and comedy.
“Earth” is just the latest in a long line of ground-breaking music videos from LD, as the videos for “Classic Male Pregame”, “Lemme Freak”, “White Crime”, “Pillow Talk”, “Save Dat Money” and more all made massive waves on the internet at the time of their release.
However, while the music video for “Earth” may be yet another tasty treat for fans of LD, unfortunately, they still find themselves patiently waiting for Dicky to drop a new album.
