Bellator MMA is returning to the Big Apple on June 14 with Bellator 222: Machida vs. Sonnen. The promotion’s return to New York City will take place at Madison Square Garden. In the main event, former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and two-time title challenger Chael Sonnen will go toe-to-toe in a light heavyweight bout.
Also on the card will be undefeated Neiman Gracie, who is expected to face the winner of Rory MacDonald vs. Jon Fitch for the welterweight championship. Jiu-jitsu ace Dillon Danis will also appear on the card.
In order to promote the upcoming fight, Bellator officials and the top fighters on the card will be heading to New York City on Tuesday, April 9 for a pre-fight press conference at the Viacom headquarters.
Fighters in attendance will be Lyoto Machida, Chael Sonnen, Neiman Gracie, Dillon Danis, Max Humphrey, and former boxing champion Heather Hardy.
