Former WWE Women’s Raw Champion Ronda Rousey was reportedly battling through some serious pain during her historic main event match at Wrestlemania 35 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey alongside Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
Ultimately, it was Becky Lynch who pinned Rousey in the triple-threat, winner-take-all match to claim the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships.
As it turns out, not only did Rousey lose her title, but she may be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Rousey suffered a “severely broken hand” during the match. WWE officials have not confirmed the news and there is no indication on when the injury could have occurred.
There was one moment during the main event, however, where Rousey took a hard bump and appeared to land awkwardly on top of her hand.
The injury also comes at a time when Rousey completed the final match on her current WWE contract. We will now have to wait and see what her WWE future holds.
