April Bowlby, born on July 30, 1980, in Vallejo, California, is an American actress who is best known for portraying Kandi on the iconic CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men and Rita Farr on the DC Comics TV series Titans and Doom Patrol.
Born in Vallejo, California, Bowlby moved with her family to Manteca, California, where she attended East Union High School.
Following her high school graduation, Bowlby studied ballet, French, and marine biology at Moorpark College in California, however, she would begin to pursue a career in modeling and acting shortly thereafter.
Bowlby’s professional acting debut came in the year 2004 when she appeared as Kaitlin Rackish in an episode of the hit CBS police procedural series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Coincidentally enough, Bowlby’s second professional acting appearing came in the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation spin-off series, CSI: NY.
Bowlby’s big break came in 2004 when she began portraying Kandi in the hit CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.
During her television career, Bowlby has appeared in various TV shows such as Stacked, Freddie, Out of Jimmy’s Head, Kath &Kim, Psych, Mom, How I Met Your Mother, You’re The Worst and The Big Bang Theory.
Over the course of her career, Bowlby has appeared in four feature films so far: All Roads Lead Home, The Slammin’ Salmon, From Prada to Nada, and Unbroken: Path to Redemption.
In 2019, Bowlby began playing the lead role of Rita Farr on the DC Universe series Doom Patrol.
