The final season of the HBO hit series Game of Thrones will have some crossover appeal. According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, San Diego Chargers star pass rusher Joey Bosa is set to make a cameo during season 8. It is the final season of the popular series.

Bosa was a standout at Ohio State University before making the move to the NFL, and now he will add to his resume on one of the biggest shows on television.

While he’s in New York for the premiere, his younger brother, Nick, who is one of the top prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft, will take advantage the opportunity to meet with the New York Giants while he is close by.

“Chargers star pass-rusher Joey Bosa will make a cameo in an upcoming episode of @GameOfThrones,” Rapoport wrote. “That is awesome (CC: loyal viewer, @TheBanktress). … Related: His brother Nick is in the NY area for the premiere and accordingly, will meet with the #Giants tomorrow.”

Let’s just hope that Rapoport is not hitting us all with some April Fools joke.

Throughout his NFL career, Bosa has played in 35 games with 33 starts and has compiled 134 tackles, 28.5 sacks, 35 tackles for a loss, and 51 quarterback hits.

Game of Thrones season 8 will premiere on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at 9:00 p.m. ET. You can watch every episode on HBO, HBO Go, and HBO Now. After waiting nearly two years for the final season of the most popular show on television, fans now have a taste of what to expect in the final episodes including the epic, episode-long battle that is expected to be the “longest consecutive action sequence in cinema history,” according to Entertainment Weekly.
