Vickie Funk Cause Of Death: TBD
At the time of this writing, an official cause of death has not been confirmed. However, it is believed that Vickie may have passed away from natural causes.
Vickie is survived by her husband and their two daughters, Stacy and Brandee. Both graduated from West Texas A&M University.
Funk married his wife on August 14, 1965, and they previously owned a ranch in Canyon, Texas.
Vickie appeared in the 1999 documentary “Beyond the Mat” which followed stars in the professional wrestling industry. In the documentary, Vickie has expressed concerns about Terry’s health following his brief retirement in 1997 and time with extreme, hardcore wrestling promotion ECW. In the documentary, Funk was told he needed a knee replacement which he would eventually undergo years later.
In November 2017, Terry Funk had to cut his time at WrestleCade short because Vickie fell ill and he had flown home to be by her side.
Funk, a WWE Hall of Famer, is also a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
Our deepest condolences are with Vickie’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
