Letitia Wright, a Guyanese-born British actress, has starred in a number of British TV series and film. It was in 2018, however, when she burst onto the world stage with her portrayal of Shuri in the Marvel Universe films Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. She will continue her role as Shuri in the upcoming Avengers: End Game.ย
Following the breakout roles, Letitia was the recipient of the BAFTA Rising Star Award.
Letitia spoke about her role as Shuri and what it is like to technically be a Disney Princess, as the daughter of Wakandaโs former king, TโChaka, and sister of TโChalla.
โI was like, โwhatโs this Disney Princess pressure? Do I have to be perfect?โโ said Wright, via Syfy. โThen I realized that everyoneโs just so geeked about having a different kind of female character in the Marvel universe and the Disney universe. And thereโs going to be much, much more โ Iโm not the only Disney Princess to come to the surface and claim that title.โ
