When Netflix dropped the first trailer for the third season of Stranger Things, not only did they reintroduce us to characters we already know and love, but these teased things to come, such as the introduction of new characters.
And of all those character introductions, it was the entrance of Francesca Reale’s character Heather — a lifeguard who seems to have the hots for Douche Commander in Chief Billy — that made the biggest impact.
Francesca Luisa Reale, who was born in Los Angeles on August 23, 1994, received a BFA in Acting from New York University.
Her first professional acting role came in a 2016 episode of the CBS police drama Blue Bloods when she portrayed a character named Gabriella Morretti.
Following her acting debut, she was cast as series regular character Emily on the Netflix series Haters Back Off. Netflix, unfortunately, canceled Haters Back Off — “a bizarre family comedy, and a commentary on society today and our fascination with fame” — after two seasons.
However, Netflix did not let Reale remained unemployed for long, as she was soon cast in the third season of Stranger Things, which is arguably Netflix’s biggest and most successful show.
In 2019, Reale got her biggest break to date when she starred as Heather on the third season of Netflix’s hit sci-fi series Stranger Things, which premiered on the streaming giant on July 4.
Given that Stranger Things is one of the biggest powerhouses in entertainment these days, we have a feeling that her role in the Netflix hit is going to spur Reale’s career onto new heights.
