Early Monday morning, McGregor was charged with charged with felony strong-armed robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

The incident leading to Conor McGregor’s arrest took place outside the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel when a fan approached him for a photo. The incident occurred shortly after 5:00 a.m. as he was leaving the resort which is home to the popular nightclub LIV. According to the report, McGregor slapped the phone out of the fan’s hand and repeatedly stomped on it. McGregor then picked up the phone and walked away with it. The incident was reportedly caught on camera.

“He’s very shaken. Very upset,” Abdirzak’s brother told the Daily Mail. “He’s a fan of McGregor’s. He watches his fights on TV. That’s why he tried to take a picture of him.”

McGregor is currently free on $12,500 bond after being released from the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and a stint in Miami-Dade Jail.

Just a year ago, McGregor was arrested on two felony charges in Brooklyn, New York for an incident at the Barclays Center where he threw a hand truck through a window of a bus carrying other mixed martial arts fighters, including rival Khabib Nurmagomedov. He reached a settlement in that case and was sentenced to three days of anger management courses and five days of community service.
