Back in October 2016, 27-year-old Justin Uhart saved the life of Jan Lambourne, a country music concert-goer who was shot by mass shooter Stephen Paddock, who killed 59 and injured over 500 during at the Route 91 Harvest festival on October 1, 2017.
Now, over two years after the tragedy unfolded, Uhart and Lambourne were reunited in an emotional scene on NBC’s hit game show Deal Or No Deal.
“I saw her on the ground and she was looking for help and I don’t know why but I stopped. I saw the wound and I saw the blood and I just stopped it as best I could,” Uhart explained to Howie Mandel and the rest of the studio audience.
While the pair say they stay in touch and speak almost daily, they had not seen each other since that tragic night.
Lambourne said that if it wasn’t for Uhart, she “would not be here.”
“This is a bravest, kind-hearted young man you’ll ever meet. I’m so grateful to be able to be here for him today. This is my hero,” she said of Uhart.
And not only was Uhart reunited with Lambourne, but he also walked away with $120,000, calling the night an “experience of a lifetime” and saying that he plans to use his winnings to “buy a home, go on vacation, and start a CBD business.”
