Michael Middleton, a 43-year-old man from Columbus, Ohio, has been dubbed the ‘Cupid of Chaos’ after he allegedly got married to four different women.

What Happened?

According to the Franklin County Sheriffs Office, Middleton was arrested on Friday, February 8, after he failed to appear for a mandated court appearance in Dover, New Hampshire where he was facing a charge of bigamy.

Police say that Middleton has wives four different states: New Hampshire, Alabama, Georgia, and Kentucky.

Additionally, one of those wives — 25-year-old Ashley Climer — is reported to be “developmentally disabled.” Police say that Middleton and Climer share a child, which they had in 2017.

In addition to Climer, Middleton is also allegedly married to New Hampshire woman Alicia Grant, who he “scammed” into buying a $20,000 Chevy Camaro. Speaking to Newsweek, Grant said that she “bought him a Z28 Camaro and clothing” due to his deception.

Grant also told Newsweek that the last time she saw Middleton in November of 2013, as he fled following a domestic violence arrest.

Middleton was arrested by police in Ohio and will be extradited to New Hampshire to face not only his bigamy charge, but a bench warrant for missing his New Hampshire court date and other charges for alleged domestic violence in Maine.

In a tweet, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said that the “third time is not the charm” for Middleton.

“Third time’s NOT a charm… Today our Deputies tracked down and arrested Michael Middleton wanted out of New Hampshire for Bigamy. This ‘Cupid of Chaos’ is now awaiting extradition in our jail,” the tweet read.
