Nadia Kassem is a women’s mixed martial artist who competes in the strawweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Kassem, who hails from Wentworthville, Australia, currently trains at Australian Top Team and first went pro in 2015.
Kassem is of Lebanese descent and previously played rugby and softball. As a child, she trained in Taekwondo and racked up a 4-0 professional record on the Australian circuit for Urban Fight Night and various regional promotions before making her UFC debut.
Kassem made her UFC debut on November 19, 2017, and earned a unanimous decision victory over fellow Australian Alex Chambers.
The strawweight has a unique nickname, “187,” which is the police code for murder in the United States.
