Fans of the 2014 true-crime podcast Serial need to start getting excited for The Case Against Adnan Syed. On Thursday, February 7, HBO dropped its first trailer for their upcoming four-part docuseries surrounding the homicide case of Hae Min Lee which rose to prominence when the podcast caught on.
HBO will be releasing their own look at the case this Spring with the teaser that new evidence could be presented.
Syed received a retrial after the Serial rose to popularity.
The case involves the murder of Hae Min Lee, an 18-year-old who was Syed’s ex-girlfriend. Lee was discovered in Baltimore, Maryland and Syed was later arrested, though he claims he has been wrongfully convicted.
