One of the best things at a sporting event is tasting the variety of foods in the concession stand. Often times, you can get rare items that aren’t regularly available. The unfortunate part is that they often come at a hefty price. That isn’t the case at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons and Super Bowl 53, however.
And so with the Super Bowl taking place in the Dirty South this year as the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams battle it out for the Lombardi Trophy, there is some excitement about what food will be available.
Unfortunately, since the game is on a Sunday, the Chick-fil-A inside of the stadium will be closed, but there are still plenty of amazing options.
A full look at some of the best items on the Super Bowl 53 menu at Mercedes-Benz Stadium can be seen below.
Chicken Waffle Bowl
Even though Chick-fil-A is closed, you can still get your dose of some fried chicken and this looks even better. Everyone in the south knows that chicken and waffles is an amazing combination and having chicken tenders served in a waffle bowl sounds like a match made in heaven.
Tequila Chicken Burger
Burgers? Amazing. Tequila? Even better. Put that all on a hot roll with jicama slaw, roasted poblano cream, and pepper jack cheese, and you have a guaranteed winner.
Southern Poutine
If you’ve ever had poutine, then you know that these loaded buffalo fries with bacon and cheddar cheese curds will make your afternoon.
Frito Pie
If you are looking for an alternative to some stadium nachos, the Frito Pie is the way to go and it only costs you $5. When you consider that price tag for brisket chili, shredded cheese, and diced onion on top of some Fritos you know you will be satisfied.
Mac and Cheese Boat
If you’ve ever been to the south, you know that a good mac ‘n cheese is a must. We just wish it was served with a side of cornbread.
Shock Top Bratwurst
Beer mustard, sautéed onions, and kettle chips all smothering a bratwurst. This is taking “hot dog” to the next level.
Burnt End Nachos
Feast your eyes, and fantasize. We are all here for the nachos topped with brisket, white cheese sauce, Budweiser BBQ sauce, and jalapeños.
