Super Bowl 53 is just around the corner. And while the game is between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams, there are some people who are just excited for the opportunity to get a look at the latest crop of Super Bowl commercials.
Plenty of companies around the world will be ready to unload millions of dollars for their 30-second spot, but not everyone will get the chance.
That is because each and every year, there are many ads that don’t make the cut.
Unfortunately for Devour, they were one of those ads this year.
Devour, which makes frozen meals and dinners, was not accepted as one of this year’s Super Bowl commercials because of their naughty little concept: “Food Porn.”
The issue with airing the ad, according to AdWeek, was the word “porn.” When you see the actual ad and some of the references that it makes, well, you can kind of understand why the NFL and those that oversee the ads wouldn’t want that presented to a family audience.

Super Bowl 53 takes place on Feb. 3, 2019, in Atlanta, Georgia. This year’s Super Bowl and halftime show — which will by performed by Maroon 5 and some select guests — will air on CBS.
