Chicago Bears fans are still reeling from the heartbreaking loss in the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs. The team appeared poised for a win over the Philadelphia Eagles that would have allowed them to advance to the Divisional Round, but that’s when things went terribly wrong.

Bears kicker Cody Parkey had the opportunity to be a hero when he lined up for the game-winning attempt well within his range with less than ten seconds left.

Unfortunately for Parkey and everyone rooting for Chicago, he pushed the kick a little too far to the left and it clanked off the upright before falling and bouncing off the crossbar as well. The Bears season was over.

But have no fear, Goose Island Beer Co. in Chicago is willing to help you drink away your sorrows.

The brewery took to social media to announce they will be constructing a makeshift field goal post outside of the brewery this weekend and that those who think they can step up to the plate and successfully kick a 43-yard field goal can have the opportunity to win free beer for a year.

*deep breath* we think we’re finally okay with talking about yesterday’s game. 1/5

“A lot of armchair kickers on here are saying that they could hit that field goal, which we find DOUBTFUL. You’re gonna sit there on your throne of potato chips and vape pens and criticize this dude’s athleticism? GET REAL,” the Twitter thread continued. “So you know what we’re going to do? Build a dang field goal post in the middle of the street outside of our brewery, and all you pro athletes can come out and prove us wrong.

“This weekend during normal taproom hours we’ll have a chance for you to show off your kicking skills. Hit the 43 yard field goal and you’ll win beer for a year and eternal glory. More info coming soon.”

And one final note:

Also, IT WAS TIPPED. 5/5

Indeed, it was, but that doesn’t help ease the heartbreak. And to you Chicago residents, start working on your kicking form, because the uprights really are coming.

We’re dead serious, we have a drawing and construction begins tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/fOnsZihyy9
