The 76th annual Golden Globe Awards took place Sunday, January 7 with the Hollywood Foreign Press opening up 2019 awards season to honor some of the best in film and television. There were some big winners on the night — like Sandra Oh who became the first woman of Asian descent to host a major entertainment awards show and also brought home an award for her role in Killing Eve — along with Netflix which brought home five Globes.
Then, there were some surprises.
Many believe Lady Gaga was snubbed in the acting category, while both her and Bradley Cooper were edged out in their respective categories for A Star Is Born.
The biggest shock of the night, however, came when Bohemian Rhapsody — a film that was met with a majority of poor reviews — brought home Best Motion Picture.
