Tessa Ia is a Mexican actress that stars as Sofia Conesa in the first season of Narcos: Mexico. In Narcos: Mexico, Ia portrayed Consesa, who was the once-innocent girlfriend of Mexican cartel drug lord Rafael Caro Quintero.
Narcos: Mexico, which premiered on Netflix on November 16, 2018, is an American crime drama created and produced Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro.
While Narcos: Mexico was originally created to be the fourth season of the original Narcos series, it was eventually fashioned into companion series that focused on the illegal drug trade in Mexico (as opposed to the original Narcos, which focused on the illegal drug trade in Colombia.)
Ia played Sofia Conesa, the girlfriend Rafael Caro Quintero, who is the Mexican drug trafficker that co-founded the now-defunct Guadalajara Cartel with Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo. Quintero was portrayed by Tenoch Huerta in Narcos: Mexico.
In addition to being an actress, Ia is also a successful recording artist, releasing the studio album Correspondence in 2016.
