Ross Lynch is known for his start on the Disney Channel original show “Austin & Ally”. Where he was able to act and sing, he soon became a double threat because of both those abilities. Now Lynch has taken Netflix by storm being cast in “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch”, alongside Kiernan Shipka. Ross will be playing the iconic Harvey Kinkle, while Shipka will play Sabrina herself. The series hit’s Netflix at a very fitting time of year, fall of 2018 October 26th. Let’s see where Ross got his start and just how much money this actor/musician has made combined.
Ross Lynch 2018 Net Worth: $3 Million
Early Life:
Ross Lynch was born on December 29th, 1995 in Littleton, Colorado. He grew up being one of five children, three brothers, and one sister. Lynch is the second cousin to two very famous entertainers Derek and Julianne Hough. At an early age, he started to develop an interest in music. Ross was taught how to play the guitar, piano and even took singing lessons to truly hone all of his musical skills.
Ross made his acting debut on Disney Channel on the show “Moises Rules”, shortly after that in 2011 he was cast in the original show “Austin & Ally”. He played the musically talented lead, Austin Moon. Following the premiere of “Austin & Ally”, Lynch was cast in the movies “A Day As Holly’s Kids” and “Teen Beach Movie”. Ross gained so much popularity for the part in “Teen Beach Movie”, Disney cast him in the sequel to reprise his character, Brady.
While acting has become very important to Lynch, singing was also a passion of his. The same here of Austin & Ally’s” release Ross founded his band R5, which included all his siblings and one of his best friends. They debuted their first EP “Ready, Set, Rock” later that year. In 2013, after the success of the band’s first EP, R5 released their second one titled “Loud”. That following September of 2013, R5 released their debut full-length album also titled “Loud”, with Ross on lead vocals. The band’s stardom was on the rise as the released a single from their second album titled “Let’s Not Be Alone Tonight”. The second album was titled “Smile” and went to number one on the US Billboard Top Pop Charts.
From R5 to The Driver Era:
Ross Lynch has managed to balance his acting and music career pretty well, touring with his band while also making time to film multiple projects on the side. Recently R5 disassembled but Ross is continuing to do music with his brother Rocky. They recently just formed their own duo band titled The Driver Era. Lynch recently said that they needed to start over from scratch and change their sound. He and Rockey wanted to be able to explore more mature subjects since the band is no longer backed by Disney. The band recently released their first hit single in May 2018, titled “Preacher Man”.
Lynch and his brother are continuing to release singles as the months go on. While he’s focused mainly on his music currently, Ross is nearly finished filming “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch”. I can’t wait to see the show in October! I also look forward to more new music from Ross and his band The Driver Era. Check out their latest single on all streaming sites right now!
