Mayra Dias is the reigning Miss Brazil 2018 and will be representing her country in the upcoming Miss Universe 2018 competition in Bangkok, Thailand. Mayra earned the honor of Miss Brazil after winning Miss Amazonas 2018 earlier in the year. She was previously crowned Miss Mundo Brasil 2015 and Reina Hispanoamericana 2016.
The 27-year-old succeeded Juliana Soares as Miss Amazonas and Monalysa Alcantara as Miss Universo Brasil.

If she takes home the crown, she hopes to advocate for the Amazonia’s environmental causes which she believes is a worldwide issue.She is deeply involved in defending environmental causes by raising awareness to the issues of deforestation.

The 2018 Miss Universe National Costume Competition was just aired via live stream December 10, 2018. So far we have seen all the candidates who are going to compete in this year’s pageant showcased a costume that represents their nation in an elaborate display of color and culture from around the world. The official Miss Universe 2018 will air in the United States live Sunday, December 16 from 7 to 10 P.M. ET live/ PT tape-delayed on FOX.
