Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez returns to action on Saturday, December 15 to face off against WBC “regular” super middleweight champion Rocky Fielding at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It marks the first time in Canelo’s career that the 28-year-old has stepped into the ring at the World’s Most Famous Arena.
It is also Canelo’s first fight for streaming app DAZN after his landmark deal which was worth a minimum of $365 million over 11 fights.
While Canelo is the heavy favorite entering the bout, it still comes as a risk with the middleweight champion moving up a weight class for the fight with Fielding.
The event on DAZN also features David Lemieux vs. Tureano Johnson, Sadam Ali vs. Mauricio Herrera, and Vergil Ortiz vs. Omar Tienda.
