Dusty Witherspoon, a Kentucky high school Spanish teacher, has been charged with making terroristic threats and criminal trespassing after she caused a soft lockdown at Bullitt Central High School, in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.

According to reports, Witherspoon caused a lockdown at Bullitt Central High School on Wednesday, October 31, after she showed up on the school’s campus and threatened to ‘f**k some s**t up’ despite the fact that she was already suspended.

Investigators Witherspoon showed up at Bullitt Central and spoke with an administrator, who told her that the terms of her suspension barred her from school grounds. Witherspoon reportedly briefly left before allegedly trying to use another entrance to the school.

Finally, Witherspoon sent a text message to a fellow Bullitt Central High School teacher saying: “I’m about to f**k some s**t up…if they wanna get ugly it’s going to get reeeaaalll ugly. I’m at my limit. I’ve put up with enough s**t. I’m done.”

“(The threat) was not specific toward any of the students or any of the faculty or staff, but obviously, it was very agitated, very aggressive, very angry and the threats definitely met the criteria of terroristic threatening,” Shepherdsville Police Chief Rick McCubbin said.

Bullitt County Schools attorney Eric Farris said that the district took the precaution of putting students on the “soft lockdown.” He said the safety of students was never in question.

Following the lockdown, Witherspoon was taken into police custody and was booked into the Bullitt County Jail. At this time, it is unknown why Witherspoon was originally suspended.

Eric Farris, the attorney for Bullitt County School District, said that the lockdown was merely a precaution taken by the district and that the safety of students was “never in question.”

The Shepherdsville Police Department has asked anyone with additional information about Witherspoon to call authorities at (502) 921-1000.
