Sophie Skelton, born March 7, 1994, is an English actress who is perhaps best known for her starring role as Brianna Randall Fraser in the Starz fantasy drama series Outlander.
Skelton, who was born and raised in Woodford, England, began acting when she was young before landing her first professional role in crime drama series DCI Banks in 2012.
In addition to DCI Banks and Outlander, Skelton has starred in several films. Her first role in a major motion picture was in the 2014 film The War I Kniew. In addition to The War I Knew, Skelton has starred in films such as Blackbird, Rose, Another Mother’s Son, 211, and Day of the Dead: Bloodline.
Skelton has also starred in various TV shows other than Outlander, including The Dumping Ground, Waterloo Road, Doctors, Foyle’s War, So Awkward, Casualty, and Ren: The Girl with the Mark.
Her most famous role is in Outlander, the Starz fantasy drama series Outlander, which is based on Diana Gabaldon’s novel of the same name. Skelton has portrayed the character Brianna “Bree” Randall since season two, which first premiered on April 9, 2016.
